Budaya Ilmu atau budaya apa?

Assalamualaikum.

Kebetulan hari ini membuka begitu banyak webpage berita (iyelah, semalam a.k.a rabu semua mainstream news media bercuti).

Haprak aa.

Ok, sori, off-topic. It's about budaya ilmu, and budaya hedonisma. Yes, UTPians are substansially killing themselves with such musics. Yes, music is perhaps one of the key in life, or in better words, as part of enjoying ourselves.

But, then again, too much enjoyment kills, as too much morphine taken by a soldier finally made the soldier died. It is a simple analogy.

Finally, there are some parents who are aware of such behaviours of their children. To anyone yang terase, sorry to say, but in this point, I am with this Bapa Prihatin. That's all. Thank you. Wassalam.

ABU UBAIDAH BIN JARRAH

Wajahnya selalu berseri. Matanya bersinar. Tubuhnya tinggi kurus. Bidang bahunya kecil. Setiap mata senang melihat kepadanya. Dia selalu ramah tamah, sehingga setiap orang merasa simpati kepadanya. Tetapi bila menghadapi suatu urusan penting, dia sangat cekatan ba gaikan singa jantan bertemu musuh. Dialah kepercayaan ummat Muhammad. Namanya‘Amir bin ‘Abdillah bin Jarrah Al Fihry Al Qurasyi”, dipanggil “Abu ‘Ubaidah”.

Which 'D' are you on?

On one side it is dictatorship, and on the other, it is 'democracy'.

In year 2002, we watched one of the biggest war in the millenium, which was 'supposedly' to give a 'freedom' to Iraq.

Many challanged the USA's decision, but Uncle Sam's word was final, WAR. FREEDOM. DEMOCRACY.

Well, like it is.

Well, like it is.

AP) - COPENHAGEN, Denmark - Former UN chief weapons inspector Hans Blix on Wednesday described the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq as a "pure failure" that had left the country worse off than under the dictatorial rule of Saddam Hussein.

In unusually harsh comments to Danish newspaper Politiken, the diplomatic Swede said the U.S. government had ended up in a situation in which neither staying nor leaving Iraq were good options.

"Iraq is a pure failure," Blix was quoted as saying. "If the Americans pull out, there is a risk that they will leave a country in civil war. At the same time it doesn't seem that the United States can help to stabilize the situation by staying there."

War-related violence in Iraq has grown worse with dozens of civilians, government officials and police and security forces being killed every day. At least 83 American soldiers have been killed in October - the highest monthly toll this year.

Blix said the situation would have been better if the war had not taken place.

"Saddam would still have been sitting in office. OK, that is negative and it would not have been joyful for the Iraqi people. But what we have gotten is undoubtedly worse," he was quoted as saying.

Blix led the UN inspectors that searched for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq before the U.S.-led invasion in 2003. He came under heavy fire from Washington when he urged U.S. President George W. Bush to allow the weapons inspectors and the IAEA to continue their work as a way to stave off a war.

Ultimately a U.S.-led coalition invaded Iraq and no weapons of mass destruction were found.

Perhaps, that is what U.S is all about. Not the people, but the one who sit on top of them, the one who governs them, through the Oval Room, through the White House, through the Pentagon.

Honestly, I believe many had already smell the lies said by ze Mr. President. When he said 'kill Osama', did he make it? No, all he did was 'freeing' Afghanistan, and put his 'henchman' there, Hamid Karzai. Even the Sept 11 attack had already look ambigiously strange. Like a soap drama.

When ze same person say 'Iraq has WMD', they searched for it. Even though they had to overthrow the government. And yet, nothing was found.

I believe that this man is only trying to use all the U.S' funds for himself, using the U.S Armed Corps for himself, and his family. If he was trying to take down the hostile countries with the capability of having a nuclear weapon, or WMD, why is North Korea left, and he let them do their 'dirty' job?

Not just that, the same person, is already planning on another attack, Iran. His next pit-stop. Under the name of 'democracy'. Pity you Mr. President. You are just being rhetoric.
